Report an AI concern
Last updated: August 27, 2026
If you believe one of Vela’s AI features has caused harm, behaved in a way it should not, or been used for something it was not meant for, tell us. You do not need an account, and you do not need to be a Vela customer.
How to reach us
Email legal@velaenergy.ai with “AI concern” in the subject line.
There is no required format. A single sentence is enough. You do not need to identify which control or regulation you think is involved — working that out is our job, not yours, and a barrier to reporting defeats the point of having a route.
What you can report
- An AI output that was wrong and caused, or nearly caused, harm.
- Vela's AI reaching information you believe it should not have had access to.
- A document or message that appeared to manipulate how the AI behaved.
- Not being told that AI was involved, or output presented as more reliable than it was.
- Use of Vela's AI outside its intended purpose — particularly anything touching decisions about people.
- Any other concern about how Vela develops, provides, or uses AI systems.
What happens next
We acknowledge it
If you leave us a way to reach you, we will confirm we have received your report.
We record it
Every report is recorded before it is assessed, not after. Recording does not depend on the report turning out to be well founded.
We investigate it
Our Head of Security and Compliance reviews it with our engineering team, and we classify it for severity.
We act on it
Where a report is substantiated we contain and correct the problem. Where it reveals a gap in a control, we track that gap to closure — and where the failure is testable, the fix includes a test, so the same failure cannot quietly return.
We tell you what happened
If we can reach you, we will tell you the outcome.
Reporting in good faith
Nobody is penalised for raising a concern in good faith, whether they work at Vela, use the product, or have no relationship with us at all. If you would rather not be identified, say so and we will handle the report without attaching your name to it.
